Overview

Highbury Gardens provides individualised support in a nurturing environment, where people’s rights, independence and choices are actively promoted.

The team at Highbury Gardens work in partnership with the individual, their wider support teams and their family to support people to achieve their goals and maximise independence. We offer a safe and e­ffective environment in which people have the freedom they need to develop their skills and confidence further.

Tailored support, bespoke accommodation

Highbury Gardens is home to five en-suite bedrooms set across the ground and first floors. This personal space is complemented by a variety of communal spaces including two social and living areas, and a large kitchen and dining area. This balance of private and shared space encourages independence while offering the opportunity to get involved in shared activities and build a community spirit.

Inside, the service also offers a sensory and relaxation hub for those who benefit from sensory activities, while the safe and enclosed communal garden has a decking and BBQ area, sunken trampoline, hot tub and games hub. The vegetable patch is also a firm favourite, offering people the opportunity to plant, grow, harvest and prepare meals with the produce.

Our recruitment process is focussed on values, ensuring that we only employ people who believe in kindness, involvement, quality of life and progress. We provide ongoing training, support and mentoring to ensure that our team have the skills required to deliver high quality care.

Our Clinical Support Team

In addition to our highly trained support teams, we also have a specialist in-house Clinical Support Team. The Clinical Support Team is a team of specialists from different disciplines, who work closely together to deliver additional support and expertise to the people we support at Precious.

By having an in-house team, we bring together professionals and practitioners from across different sectors to deliver person-centred, holistic care which focuses on the needs of the individual. With no need to apply and wait for support from external teams, we can provide this specialist support quickly and efficiently.

PBS

At Precious, we are committed to improving the support we provide by embedding Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) throughout the organisation. At its very core, PBS is about treating people with respect, putting their needs at the centre and enabling them to achieve the quality and enjoyment of life that everyone aspires to.

PBS takes a person-centred approach to identify which areas of support will be most helpful to each individual. This includes working closely with the people we support to make sure that their choices and goals are heard, respected and actioned.

Our Residential Model

Our residential provision is far removed from traditional models of support— with a focus on community integration, proactive development of independence and Individual Care Pathways.

Our qualified team members provide each person with the care and support that they need, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – providing a safe, positive and stimulating environment. Services are carefully designed to meet the needs of the individuals who live there —adapting provision to meet individual need, whilst ensuring staffing structures and training are built around each person.

The Local Community

Based in Seven Kings, Redbridge, Highbury Gardens is in the heart of the community with easy access to local parks, colleges, shops, drama centres, restaurants and health and leisure facilities.

Seven Kings also offers easy access to public transport including local train and bus routes, with some of the people we support enjoying days out in Central London.

Our CQC Report

Referrals

We provide a rapid response to referrals and we will normally arrange a professional assessment within a few days of your call.

Our highly experienced team will carry out a full and detailed pre-admission assessment, free of charge and without obligation, prior to a placement being offered. This focuses on understanding the unique needs of each person and forms the basis of the their support plans if they move into the service.
