Day Support Worker Full Time Permanent
£11.55 per hour in Kings Heath
Day Shifts 7:30am-3pm,2:30pm-10pm & 7:30am-10pm.
Essential: At least 12 months experience with Autism and Challenging Behaviour. This is a challenging service and we are seeking candidates who have experience with behaviours that may be described as challenging.

About the service
Swan is a residential service focusing on Learning disability, Autism and challenging behaviour, service users are nonverbal and require full support with day to day living skills and promoting independence, we all here work as team to meet the needs of each individual based on a person centred approach.

Support Worker duties:

  • Supporting residents to develop independence and life skills
  • Assisting people to achieve daily goals & daily activities such as arts, crafts, hobbies
  • Assisting with the development of person centred plans for our residents
  • This includes employment, education and other opportunities
  • Maintaining records and drawing up risk assessments 
  • Providing personal care where needed always working towards more independence 
  • Supporting people in undertaking daily activities or development
